Last weekend I had the pleasure of joining Vatsady and her friends dress shopping at Vows in Watertown, MA. Not every bridal shop allows photography so I was excited that Vows was more than happy to let us snap away. Vows is a bridal outlet that carries every brand name you can think of. What makes it an outlet is that they mostly sell sample dresses. So basically the dresses you try on are the dresses you would end up buying however they do have a selection of dresses that can be made to order.
I had alot of fun with Vatsady and will be joining her for more dress shopping in the future so stay tuned!

This beauty is also designed by Liv Harris and is made of silk taffeta. While Vatsady really liked the look of this dress the front part of this skirt was really heavy and might get uncomfortable or cumbersome on the dance floor. 
Vatsady tried on this traditional trumpet-styled dress made of embellished tulle but decided it wasn’t the look she was going for. 
Of all the dresses at Vows that Vatsady tried on, this was our favorite. This is a silk organza Maggie Sottero dress and ladies you might want to sit down for this, is only $700! No, I’m not missing a zero. While Vatsady liked the style and fit of this dress she wasn’t a fan of the embellishment on the waist. We were able covered the embellishment with a another belt which a great option if anyone wants to add a little bling to their wedding dress.
While Vatsady didn’t end up finding her wedding dress, it was a successful trip just being able to try on different styles and for her to get actually see herself in a wedding dress. Personally, I’m now a big fan of Vows. Besides the number of different designers that Vows carries, and the fact that they allow photographers like me to take pictures in their store, I think one of the reason brides should definitely check out Vows is that you can find great deals. I saw several designer dresses for under $800 so if you’re in the Boston-area be sure to stop by Vows. On saturdays you can just walk right in without an appointment.
